As Sweetwood Cattle Company continues to emerge as one of the leading meat snacks on the market, the push continues in support of professional and amateur athletes to choose one of Sweetwood’s premiere products as an energy snack of choice on the trail, river, mountain, or wherever adventure may take you. This summer Sweetwood is joining Epic Rides and will be on hand at a number of mountain biking events handing out samples to all junior riders at The Whiskey Off-Road, The Grand Junction Off-Road and the Carson City Off-Road mountain biking events.
The first Epic Rides event took place in Prescott, Arizona on April 29-May 1. The race toured riders through the endless single-track trails in the Prescott National Forest. Sweetwood was there to provide energy meat snacks for all junior riders participating in the Kid’s Fun Ride.
The Grand Junction Off-Road event goes down May 20-22 and will begin on Main Street in downtown Grand Junction. The 15, 30 and 40-mile courses climb up to the popular Lunch Loops trail system and Butterknife trail and will be sure to offer an adventure for every level of rider. Again, Sweetwood will be on hand to provide meat-snack samples for all adult and junior competitors.
The Carson City Off-Road event June 17-19 will mark the last Epic Rides mountain biking event where Sweetwood will continue to forge its way into the athletic, energy-snack culture. Featuring iconic trails through the Washoe Valley and vistas of Lake Tahoe’s emerald blue waters, the 15, 35 and 50-mile courses will pass such landmarks as Spooner Lake, Marlette Lake, Tahoe Rim Trail, Sunflower Hill, Snap Dragon Trail, Red House Flume and “Kings to Ash”.
Epic Rides celebrates “the bicycle, the outdoors, and the individuals and organizations who make the mountain biking community the coolest group of people on the planet.” They provide “the ultimate venue for adventure and allow you to choose a level of challenge that is within, or well beyond, your comfort zone.” They gather “several hundred to a few thousand like-minded folks, give everyone a bunch of high quality swag, then kick the party into gear.” Their events are more about the “experience than racing and ridiculous rules.”
Sweetwood agrees with Epic Rides’ philosophy and is thrilled to be a part of this summer’s mountain biking events.
